Barack Obama -- Failure Personified

Presumptive Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama admits that he has no executive experience of any kind, and hence lacks a fundamental qualification to be president.

In fact, all the most recent presidents (Bush Jr., Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, Carter, Nixon) have had not only substantial executive experience but significant elected executive experience (they’ve either been governor or vice president).

But Mr. Obama sets us a challenge: Look, he says, running a national campaign for president is a great executive challenge. So, if I show you I can do that well, you should be willing to give me a chance in the Oval Office.

Let’s put aside for the moment the fact that this is total nonsense, and take him at his word.

Today, the New York Times reports that no sooner had Obama secured the Democratic nomination and named the head of a committee to recommend a vice presidential running mate then he was forced to accept the resignation of that choice, James A. Johnson, due to charges of corruption. The Times reports:

Mr. Johnson, who also directed Senator John Kerry’s vice presidential search when he was the Democratic nominee in 2004, had come under fierce scrutiny in recent days after disclosures that he had received mortgage loans on favorable terms from Countrywide Financial, the beleaguered mortgage lender. His large paychecks and bonuses while president of Fannie Mae, the quasi-public government mortgage agency, also drew heavy Republican criticism. Mr. Obama had defended Mr. Johnson as recently as Tuesday, saying that he had only a “tangential” role in his campaign and that he was not troubled by his business activities. He said he had not inquired about his mortgages and would not hire people to, as he put it, “vet the vetters.”

In other words, Obama was a total failure at the very first thing he tried to do in order to begin his campaign. And when his mistake was pointed out, he didn’t immediately correct it, but continued making it in bull-headed fashion — just the same thing he did when confronted with the outrageous conduct of his freakishly racist preacher Jeremiah Wright.

This is, to put it bluntly, exactly what you would expect from someone with no executive experience. He’s never done anything like this before, so he’s going to make plenty of mistakes. Is that really the person you want negotiating on your behalf with demonic liars like Vladimir Putin or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

Obama refuses to release his birth certificate, fueling rumors that it contains embarrassing facts about his given name.

A key financial supporter from Illinois, Tony Rezko, has just been sent to prison for corruption.

He’s out of touch with reality and can’t even control his own campaign workers.

He’s not qualified to be president, and he shouldn’t be. If he becomes president anyway and turns into a disaster, he could set the cause of black civil rights back twenty years.

Hmm strong words and good argument. I don’t have much to say other than that Tony had it coming. I live in Illinois and I don’t wanna see Obama president. But w.e, I can’t vote anyway.

If the whole of Bush administration can go wrong on the claims of Iraq’s WMD possession (the same which cost too many innocent American lives), what else can we expect and why should we single out Barack Obama?

If America was so comfortable under the RULE of a super-erring President like Bush, I don’t think Obama should pose any significant threat to the American people.

Anyway, my personal opinion is that Obama will be not as stupid as Bush.

Ow That deserves a star.

I’m not making excuses by Bush had to go through a lot of crap that most presidents don’t have to go through and honestly I don’t think Obama could have handled them as ”good”.

Although that is the case, I don’t believe either nominee ought to be in the presidency. But if I had to choose I would choose GREEN PARTY!! (Bet you didn’t see that one coming)

Well kim if Experience is the logic u put Obama down with, u r wrong. we'll not go far deep in the history. Take the Present president, GW bush, i agree he has an experience as a governor, but that is nothing to do with the foreign affairs. He was more ignorant than Obama is, if you talk about foreign policy.

I'll give you another example; you mentioned about Putin, when he came to the power, he even didn't have a great executive experience. But the less spoken president proved a hard nut for all to crack. Even Bush pursued foreign policy vigorously after taking over as the president of USA. Obama may have sort comings, but experience is not as high as you interpret it.

Kim's arguments make a good sense and experience should be prerequisite for the presidential nomination. and by the way , how one can ignore that Obama has zero experience in diplomacy, not even strong bipartisan work in Congress. I know of nothing good he has ever done to unite any group even half as antagonistic as the two US political parties. All he does is give speeches and those who find hope in empty rhetoric are deluded. I'd like to see evidence of wisdom.

Obama’s failure more or less depends on Hillary’s management of her supporters. And the role Hillary will play in Obama's campaign depends entirely on her ability to get her die-hard supporters to turn around and vote for Obama. If enough of them will go in Obam’s favor or not is still skeptical. It hasn't even been a week, and a lot of them are still in Obama-hating mode. It might take more than 5 months for them to get over this. It is very important that Hillary effectively campaign against McCain. If she can drive him into the ground in the coming weeks, she might prove to be the best running mate.

this is propaganda to keep voters attention away from the core issues. McCain could not win against Obama... coz won’t stand a chance. No insane person would vote for a President who promises to keep our troops in Iraq! ppl are fed up with war. I have not heard MccCain say anything that has any substance…he is too much like of the same politics that we currently have in Washington.

Obama does not deserve to be the president of the U S, particularly when he and his wife don’t even respect this country. Obama refuse to even say the pledge of allegiance and his wife says that she has never been proud until now to be an American. You want more proofs. Now Obama is escaping to produce its birth certificate. It sounds so hypocritical.

If Obama can’t even respect the United States enough to say the pledge of allegiance, then what makes anyone think he would be a good president?. I suppose if we are proud to be an American we will vote for the person who is also proud and respects this country.

I am afraid of what is happening in this campaign. Do Americans know that they are not voting for change, they are voting for inexperience!! Obama doesn’t and will not know what is going to be expected of him. He’s just excited of the limelight he is in right now. For goodness sake his wife is just now realizing she is ‘proud to be an American’. If there is going to be a run for the white house let it be the people with experience. McCain, a man with lot of experience, is the right choice.

Kim your point is baseless, sorry to say. what McCain says or does, is not an issue. He may be experienced in comparison to Obama but Americans do not want another Republican to be the commanding chief of our country. To inform you kim, If inexperience is an issue, then we should have never allowed George W. Bush to become our president for 8 years. What I want to say is, if you think McCain’s going to continue a fight that isn’t an American fight, then you all must be living in the land of illusion. McCain is starting the attacks now, simply because he must, if he thinks he is going to have a shot at winning an election that George W. Bush has already secured the he will lose.

SAD!! Truly sad! We have one candidate who is old, grumpy and has many things in common with the outgoing horror of a President. The other is a narcissistic, inexperienced, highly questionable associated snake oil salesperson who virtually says and has done nothing of concrete significance. This is ridiculous!!

As a DEM voter for 40 years I find myself in a position that I ABSOLUTELY cannot cast a ballot for the DEM and at the same time do not wish to continue this awful exercise in life and money loss in Iraq. We have already obliterated the balance of power in the Middle East and harkened to all radical Muslims to join together throughout the world while at the same time the mastermind Bin Laden still lives and breathes. LUDICROUS!

I fear that neither are worth picking but one must win. This is not at all comforting!

In this case, I would rather see the more experienced (even though his many flaws) than the wet behind the ears novice using this as a training ground. Talk the PRESCRIPTED talk, yes. Walk the walk–DOUBTFUL!

This idea is well written, but perhaps short sighted. Leadership comes from experience of all kinds, after-all I don’t remember George Washington having any ”Executive experience.”

I believe that Barack deserves a chance to be President because he has a great and extensive plan to improve many areas of life for all of us. He’s not new to the White House so he has some experience through observation and some participation. I know I dont want McCain to continue the ”Bush Administration”.
